Kool-Aid Modeling Dough

Kool-Aid Modeling Dough

1 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup salt
2 tbsp. cream of tartar
1 Kool Aid unsweetened soft drink mix packet, any flavor
1 cup water
1 tbsp. vegetable oil

Directions:

Mix flour, salt, cream of tartar and kool-aid mix in medium saucepan. 

Add water and oil and stir. 

Stir over medium heat 3 to 5 minutes until mixture forms a ball in the center of the pan. 

Remove mixture and knead for about 1 minute. 

Store in plastic bag or air tight container in refrigerator until used.

Bubble Recipe

Bubble Recipe

  • 2 cups dishwashing detergent (works best with Joy)
  • 6 cups water
  • 3/4 cup Karo light corn syrup

Directions: 

Mix together, shake well. 

Pour into flat pan if using large bubble wand. 

Enjoy!

Cinnamon Ornaments

Cinnamon Ornaments

Makes 1 dozen ornaments

  • 3/4 cup apple sauce
  • 1 4.12 oz. bottle ground cinnamon

Directions:

Mix the applesauce and cinnamon to form a stiff dough. 

Roll out to 1/4 inch thickness. 

Cut with cookie cutters. 

Make hole for ribbon. 

Put on rack to dry for several days, only occasionally turning.   

Decorate with tube paints and glitter.

Finger Paint

Finger Paint

  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 cups cold water
  • food coloring

Directions: 

Mix the sugar and cornstarch, add water. 

Cook over low heat and stir constantly until well blended. 

Divide mixture into 4 to 5 portions and color each portion.

Soap Paint

Soap Paint

  • 1 cup powdered detergent
  • 4 tbsp. liquid starch
  • 1 tbsp. powdered tempra

Directions:

Using a mixer, beat detergent and starch until peaks form. 

Add Tempra and mix well. 

Apply paint with hands, brushes or sticks.
